Snohomish County, WA
Lake Stevens has one of the oldest sewer districts in the county — the Lake Stevens Sewer District was set up in 1957, and the lake perimeter was sewered in the 1970s and 1980s. But the district only covers about 12.8 square miles, and outside its Urban Growth Area there is essentially no sewer. The homes beyond the lake and the UGA are on septic.
We serve the unsewered parts of the Lake Stevens area: outside the Urban Growth Area — north and east of the lake and the UGA, including the 132nd Ave NE area, the east side beyond the district around 99th Ave SE, and the SR-9 corridor north. We do not target the lake perimeter, Frontier Village, or the in-UGA subdivisions, which are on district sewer. As of April 2024 the district served 15,231 residential connections; outside the UGA, connections are rare — about 108 connections in plats in the rural area or the Marysville UGA.
